Things have just started in the world of GOT. Our characters are gaining momentum for what is to be the end of the series and we understand that no character is ever safe in the world of GOT. This makes it all the more worth to watch the rest as we watch an authentically built tale unveil before our eyes.
Episode 1 : Two Swords
The episode begins with Tywin overseeing the reforging of Ned Stark’s sword, Ice into two swords. One for Jamie, who is hurt after losing his hand, and another for Joffrey as a present for his wedding to Margarey.
We see the arrival of a new set of characters from the City of Dorne, where Myrcella was sent. Prince Oberyn Martell, who arrived on behalf of his brother, Prince Doran of Dorne and his partner, Ellaria Sand. Tyrion welcomes them as guests for the wedding, but Prince Oberyn reveals his true intentions-that he wants to have his revenge on the Lannisters for the murder of his sister Elia, wife of Prince Rhaegar (Elia was killed in the sack of King’s Landing during the Rebellion that removed the Targaryens from the throne).
In the North, the wildlings band together, and Jon confesses what all he did to get information about the wildlings to Maester Aemon and is released.
Arya and Sandor reclaim back her sword, Needle from Polliver after killing him and his men.
Meanwhile back in Essos, Dany travels to the city of Mereen, the last of the slave cities to wage war against the masters and free the slaves like she did in the other two slave cities. But, she is restless as she realizes that her dragons become harder to tame as they grow.
Episode 2: The Lion and The Rose
Roose Bolton returns after the Red Wedding and reprimands Ramsay for treating Theon, the way he did in captivity. Theon is treated to such an extent that he has been reduced to a meek, timid and scared servant of Ramsay’s that will obey his any word. Roose Bolton, now The Warden of the North, knows that two people threaten his position as warden-the two missing Stark children-Bran and Rickon. Roose instructs Ramsay to find the two missing Stark children and reclaim the lands of the North that the Ironborn had captured.
Meanwhile back in Dragonstone, Melisandre continues with her rituals to The Lord of The Light, this time burning and sacrificing many people to the Lord for the victory of Stannis, much to his and his wife’s pleasure. Davos and Shireen are however disgusted and horrified by this act and do not trust Melisandre.
In King’s Landing, Tyrion ends her relationship with Shae and sends her off to Pentos for her safety, as he knows that Tywin will never spare her, if their relationship was found.
Jaime trains with the sword with just one hand with the help of the sellsword that accompanied Tyrion, Bronn.
King Joffrey and Margarey marry but towards the end of the wedding, Joffrey is poisoned and dies. Cersei, filled with rage, accuses Tyrion of the murder as there was a tension between the two. Tyrion is arrested and Sir Dontos, a former knight approaches Sansa and tells her she must leave or else, she won’t be safe in King’s Landing.
Episode 3 : The Breaker of The Chains
Tywin now grooms Tommen to become the next king and ask the Martell’s to also be the judges for Tyrion’s trial. Although the relationship between Tywin and Tyrion were never good, the one between him and Jaime were good and Tyrion asks Jaime to be his witness. Sir Dontos was hired by Littlefinger to save Sansa, and then Littlefinger kills Dontos and smuggles Sansa out of King’s Landing.
Stannis’s forces are now depleted and Davos requests a loan from The Iron Bank of Braavos so that they can pay for a group of mercenaries called ‘The Golden Company’.
In the North, Sam moves Gilly and her baby to Mole’s town. They find out that the wildings who have been stealing from several villages have now camped at Craster’s Keep. The Men of The Night’s watch decide to attack those wildings, before they reach Castle Black and inform Mance Rayder that Castle Black’s protection is currently weak.
Dany starts her war on the masters of Mereen.
Episode 4 : Oathkeeper
Dany captures Mereen despite a rebellion from the slaves. She seeks justice for the murdered slave children by nailing 163 masters all over the city of Mereen.
As Sansa and Littlefinger leave on the ship from King’s Landing, Littlefinger confesses to Sansa that he had a role in Joffrey’s murder. Back in King;s Landing, Olenna tells Margarey that she too had a role in Joffrey’s death and that now Margarey must capture the heart of Tommen before Cersei brainwashes him to her side. Jamie meets Tyrion and is convinced that Tyrion is in fact innocent. However Cersei is adamant that Tyrion is the murderer and orders Jamie to find and kill Sansa. Instead, Jamie asks Brienne to find and protect Sansa. He gives Brienne her sword, and his squire, Podrick.
At the wall, Allison Thorne and Janos Slynt conspire to have Jon lead a mission to the wildings who have captured Bran and his party. Further North, we see the whitewalkers take the last living son of Craster’s and convert him to a White walker, at a secret ritual site.
Episode 5 : First of His Name
Tommen is crowned King at King’s Landing and Cersei tries to convince Margarey, Tywin and Oberyn to convince them to be on her side for Tyrion’s trial.
Littlefinger takes Sansa to the Eyrie where her Aunt Lysa lives. Littlefinger is forced to marry Lysa on the same day, and it is revealed that the two of them were involved in the killing of Jon Arryn while framing the Lannisters. (Remember back in Season 1, Catelyn receives a letter from her sister Lysa who claims the Lannisters killed her husband and that she is leaving to the Eyrie for her safety. It so happens, that the Lannisters didn’t and that it was really her. This misconception grew into all the problems and murders that we have seen till now in GOT!!)
On the Kingsroad, Sandor sees Arya practicing with her sword and makes fun of the teachings that she got from her previous teacher. Brienne also notices that Podrick has no battle skills although she is impressed at how he protected Tyrion during the war of Blackwater bay.
Beyond the wall, Jon attacks the wildlings. Bran and his party escapes and continue on their journey to find the three eyed raven while Jon and his party kill all the wildlings and burn down Craster’s keep.

Yara leads an attack to save Theon, but Theon refuses to be rescued. As a reward for his obedience, Ramsay asks him to play the role of Theon so that they can recapture the areas taken by the Ironborns.
Tywin puts a bounty on Sandor’s head, and instructs Varys to continue spying on Dany. During the trial, Tyrion is shocked to find, Ser Meryn Trant, Cersei, Grand Maester Pycelle, Varys and even Shae give a solid testimony against Tyrion. Angry and dejected, he requests a trial by combat. (This scene happens to be one of my favorites where Tyrion showed an excellent performance where we can see the different kinds of feeling at being accused of something he never did, from the people he thought would never betray him.)
Episode 7 : Mockingbird
Cersei appoints Gregor Clegane as her champion in the trial by combat and both Jamie and Bronn refuse to fight for Tyrion. Oberyn steps up to this role, for a chance at finally avenging his sister’s death, as Gregor Clegane was the one who had raped her and killed her.
Dany and Daario have a more intimate relationship than what meets the eye and he sends him on a mission to control the situation with the resurgent masters of Yunkai.
Melisandre and Selys prepare for their departure to Castle Black and plan to take Shireen along as well.
Allisor Thorne rejects Jon’s request to close the tunnel that takes them beyond the wall.
Brienne and Podrick meet Hot Pie who tells them about Arya and her adventures. The two decide that she must have gone to where her family is- The Eyrie. Sansa then reveals her true identity to the council at the Vale and tells that Littlefinger is innocent. He then grooms, Robin to be the next heir of the Vale, a mere puppet of Littlefinger. Arya arrives at the Vale and is informed of her aunt’s death and leaves.
Back in King’s Landing, the trial by combat starts and Oberyn is killed by the mountain where his skull is crushed as he confesses to the crime of raping and killing his sister. Tywin sentences Tyrion to death now that his champion has lost in the trial by combat.
Selmy in Essos receives a letter intended for Jorah, pardoning him for his crimes as he has spied on Dany all this time. Discovering this, Jorah is exiled from Mereen.
Episode 9 : The Watchers on The Wall
The Night’s watch is attacked by the wildlings as they infiltrate all the entry points to Castle Black. Sam has hidden Gilly at an underground hiding place in Castle Black for the meantime. Eventually in the fight, Ygritte dies after getting shot at by an arrow from Olly. Jon holds her in his arms and she dies. The wildlings are defeated and many fall back but Jon knows this is not the end to their attack. He then goes beyond the wall, to find and kill Mance Rayder and finish this once and for all.
Episode 10 : The Children
Jon while negotiating with Mance Rayder is interrupted as Stannis and his party arrive and capture Mance Rayder.
Bran’s party finally arrives at a large heart tree that he sees often in his dreams. As they try to go near the tree they are attacked by skeltal creatures rising from the ground and Jojen is killed. The others are saved by a child and taken to the Three Eyes Raven who happens to be an old man in the roots of the heart tree.

Cersei orders Qyburn a Maestar who has experimented with zombie like preservations to save the Mountain who was poisoned by Oberyn’s arrow. Jamie releases Tyrion and he finds Shae in Tywin’s bed. Furious and betrayed, he strangles Shae and kills her.
He then finds Tywin and kills him, and escapes from King’s Landing with Varys.
In Mereen, a citizen visits Dany and shows her the charred remains of his daughter that Drogon killed. This leads to Dany locking up the other two dragons in an underground area below the city of Mereen.
