Watch With Me : The Untamed (2019) – Ep 34 – recap

Last episode we saw that the long flashback has ended and we are now back to the present – our favorite duo is now on the road to find out the mystery behind the sword – and potentially the real villian in this drama – the one who made the mysterious flute sound that caused all this havoc in the first place.

We are back at the scene where Wei Wuxian hides behind Lan Wangji as he has been chased by Jin Lings dog – fairy. It’s really funny that the great Wei Wuxian has such a cute fear towards dogs. Was it because of that incident in the Wen clan dungeons or did he have the fear all along?

As the duo then goes around with their investigation they hear about some strange occurrences in the village as well as the presence of dark energy. They find Jin Ling unconscious and they put chase to whatever attacked Jin Ling.

As they wait for Jin Ling ti wake up, Jjang Cheng eventually enters the scene and we have reached the point where he recognises that this person is Wei Wuxian. Needless to say – he isn’t pleased.

Jjang Cheng ties up Wei Wuxian but he is freed by Jin Ling as he doesn’t believe that he was the man who killed his parents. Well, awww.

As Wei Wuxian gets up, he suddenly knocks Jin Ling unconscious. He checks out his nephew’s knee, where he can see it has blackened due to a dark magic curse. Wei Wuxian them absorbs the curse into his own body.

Takeaways from the episode

Looks like we are at the brink of another mystery – the source of this black magic – which could potentially lead us to the real villian in the story. As to who I should suspect there are so many on the list that I’m not sure. Who do you think is the real villian? Let me know in the comments below!
