💯 Posts! #Blog_goals

I usually maintain a Google sheet where I note down all the posts that are in the ‘workshop’ and the ones I have done. Just scrolled past it and realized that the last post I published was my hundredth post. Hundred! Can’t believe I actually wrote 100 posts really!

I never really look at stats because whether I get the most amazing stats or not, blogging is something I will always do! But I have to say, I am definitely proud of these stats. In a little over a year, I have come this far, and I hope to reach so much more.

As a special post commemorating my 100th post, I thought I would do a run through on my most favorite posts that I have published till now!

Obviously one post that will always be special to me, is definitely my first post- It’s called Life. It’s more or a less an introspection I had on life, with what I experienced. It wasn’t much, but that post meant a lot to me. It was my first leap into displaying my writing to the world. From there, I decided to start writing reviews on books, movies, etc. How that happened was, I usually watch, listen and read a lot, and i used to note it down in notebooks I somehow lost over time. Saving it online was my first thought, and that culminated with my blog and here I am!

Titanic was the first movie I was ever taken to the theatre to by my parents when I was a baby. Therefore this 20th anniversary post of the movie Titanic is definitely special to me.

As part of my new year resolution, I vowed to write posts by thinking beyond the story and giving and relaying the message from the story. As part of those experiments, I was able to release one funny post called, How Spiderman taught us the importance of love.

My blog was also a place where I got to include posts on my most favorite Malayalam (my mother tongue) film which was Devasuram. Although this is an incredibly old movie, I still get many clicks and views for this one! It’s always special to me! Another movie where I got to pass the message that outward appearances really doesn’t matter was special to me. In that movie, because of it’s strange plot twist more than 140 actors play the lead role and it’s none other than- The Beauty Inside. Another special post is by an old classic movie that coincidentally has my same name- Anjali. Released in the year 1990, this was also one of my favorites to write about.

Exploring my interest into not just reviewing movies I even ventured into writing posts such as The Revenant and why we shluld take global warming seriously. Or posts where I linked two totally unrelated books, in an attempt to relay a good message.

Speaking of delivering good messages, some posts were never movie or art centric but rather more on a grave and very serious note. Posts I wrote on depression and suicide or ventures no matter how small or big where we could make a difference.

Apart from that my blog has documented some of the best moments in my life where I had posts on my wonderful life in college and so on. And some other posts where my dad discovered ‘poetry’ that I wrote when I was a tiny kid, which just made my heart fill with joy.

I also had a chance to participate in a venture started by Auri and my fellow blogger friends which is still very important to me.

And last but definitely not the least, my most memorable post would be the 16 post series I wrote on The Bangtan Universe. I spent months preparing it, but I did it with the utmost happiness.

Over time, I categorised my blog into many running series such as Old is Gold for the classics that never die, The Indian Kaleidoscope for the wonderful and large Indian film industry, The Global Kaleidoscope for the even more diverse global movie industries.

I even had a section dedicated to everything Korean. Let’s face it, it’s an amazing entertainment industry and deserves a section on it’s own called It’s called Hallyu. Or Hollywood movies that go in the section The Movie Bucket. Another top favorite series on my blog are the Double Features where I take two movies/series/books or literally anything that is surprisingly based on the same theme! The Book Club is for all the posts where I do book reviews, because reading is my first and most favorite hobby and The Couch Potato for all those TV series I had to binge-watch because I couldn’t stop! And finally to introduce the many wonderful artists I get to meet during my blogging journey, I have the Let’s Meet series.

I may have gotten a little carried away with this post celebrating me reading 100 posts, but I just couldn’t stop typing. It really gave me that much happiness.

The kibd of support I get from everyone on WordPress and otherwise is amazing.

I will definitely keep writing.

Here’s to hundreds and hundreds more of posts!
